Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Marketing Design team in the development and creation of designs used throughout our 940+ retail locations. This individual will be responsible for creatively planning, coordinating, developing, preparing, and reviewing graphic design projects within store design standards, goals, and objectives. Apply established branding specifications to ensure work meets guidelines. This designer will design, produce, and review multi-channel artwork such as signs, posters, in-store graphics, branding, email, and web assets. They will see a project through from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, layout, and formatting of multi-channel materials and production.
- Work in collaboration with other departments to develop best-in-class retail experiences for the consumer.
- Responsible for the development of images and concepts for a variety of creative projects primarily focused on the Retail/Consumer experience.
- Responsible for the development of store windows and interior store graphic kits.
- Determines size and arrangement of illustrative materials and copy. Selects style and size and arranges layout based on available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts.
- Attend multi-department meetings to facilitate the development of the overall store design package.
- Instruct production vendors in the manner projects are to be executed based on information and instructions from Follett teams.
- Review layouts with Store Specialists and makes changes as appropriate.
- Prepare, mark up, and assemble final layouts for supervisor and client's presentation.
- Create or supervise the creation of marked-up comprehensives and 3-D samples for client approval and release to appropriate vendors.
- Obtain high-resolution campus life images from schools to be utilized in-store graphics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field of study required.
- 1-3 years of previous job-related experience required.
- Graphic design experience in the retail design field is preferred.
- Must possess strong communication and partnership skills.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines and handle changes to priorities on short notice.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Software, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere.
- A normal office environment requires the ability to organize and prioritize workload, communicate effectively, sit for extended periods of time, use standard office equipment, and review and proof documents.
