Description
We are looking for passionate Security Engineers, experienced in networking, APIs and data at rest to join our Platform Security team. The team focuses on ensuring the security of our products by working closely with the Product Engineering teams to identify and address security risks throughout the development lifecycle. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our customers' data and our reputation.
Day to day, you’ll be leveraging your solid engineering fundamentals with a focus on security, penetration testing, encryption, identity and authorization. Bringing a passion for solving difficult problems to help realize the product vision.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a seamless developer experience for our vast open-source and enterprise community, ensuring Hazelcast is as user-friendly to get started with as well as to operate.
What You’ll Do
- Work on exciting open-source projects that push the boundaries of distributed computing
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing and vulnerability scans to identify and address risks
- Design and implement security controls, such as access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms, to protect our products and customer data
- Conduct security code reviews and provide guidance to developers on writing secure code
- Work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development lifecycle
- Identify and address vulnerabilities in third-party libraries and components used in our product
- Work with customers and partners to address security concerns and provide guidance on secure product deployment and configuration
What You Have
- Excellent knowledge of application security testing tools, networking concepts and protocols
- Deep understanding of authentication and authorization
- Encryption, Key Storage and Exchange, Software Hardening techniques
- CVE resolution policies and OWASP best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of following are desirable:
- Java JDK 17+
- Familiarity with cloud security, including AWS (SCS certified), Azure or GCP
- Familiarity with Role Based Access Control solutions
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science, or related discipline). OR equivalent experience.
