We’re looking for an International Benefits Specialist (EMEA) to join our Benefits and Leaves team to help support our Global Benefits strategy, administration, and processes. This critical role reports to our Associate Manager for Benefits and will be responsible for the day to day administration of our Benefits programs in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, and Germany.

As the International Benefits Specialist, you will serve as a key member of the Total Rewards team and collaborate regularly with various teams including People Operations, Global Mobility, Leaves, Legal, Payroll, Technology, as well as various external benefit vendors to ensure successful administration of our benefit programs. This role supports Yelpers with their benefits, which vary by country, but may include health insurance, life insurance and income protection, pension schemes, cycle to work, employee assistance program, and many other great programs.

This is a full time remote position located in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Yelp is a fully distributed workforce, so you can be anywhere within those countries.

Where You Come In

  • You will ensure timely and accurate benefits enrollments in Workday, the payroll system, and vendor systems
  • You will work closely with Yelp’s benefits consultant to ensure that benefit enrollments are processed and employee escalations are resolved timely
  • You will support the management of annual benefit plan renewals
  • You will audit benefits-related data regularly to ensure no inconsistencies or errors between data systems
  • You will partner with members of the Benefits and Leaves team to ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day benefit administration runs efficiently
  • You will coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation to educate employees about our great benefits and how to utilize them (or who to ask when they don’t)
  • You will assist in the management of company time off plans and maintain the annual holiday calendars for relevant countries
  • You will support the Leaves team with any employee leaves of absence, including working with vendors and ensuring employees have appropriate support
  • You will answer and resolve employee questions/issues on all things benefits
  • You will run Workday reports for internal department needs on a regular basis
  • You will assist with Workday data setup and testing when changes are made to benefit plans
  • You will create and maintain Benefits-related content and information on company intranet
  • You will serve as backup for Benefits Specialist in Canada assisting with the administration of Yelp’s Canadian benefit plans
  • You will partake in other special projects and duties based on business needs

What It Takes To Succeed

  • You have demonstrated benefits, wellness, and pension administration experience
  • You have strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively communicate benefits and wellness programs to our Yelpers
  • You have advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills (data manipulation, conditional formatting, vlookups, pivot tables, etc) in addition to other Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint)
  • You have a team player mentality that asks for help when needed and helps others on the team when needed.
  • You have positive energy and are a strong promoter of team chemistry and professionalism
  • You have a keen ability to work on daily, weekly and monthly day-to-day tasks independently but willing to raise difficult questions or situations quickly so they can be addressed and resolved
  • You have good time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • You have an understanding of privacy laws and utmost discretion when managing sensitive and confidential issues
  • You have knowledge of benefits-related regulatory, compliance, and reporting requirements in the countries where you will be administering benefits
  • You have Workday experience preferred
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

What You'll Get
