The IT Support Engineer within Blackbaud Corporate IT is an advanced technical support role that includes advanced tasks supporting the company’s many different endpoints and systems. This role designs, tests, implements, and supports a wide variety of technology, develops strategy for the end-user compute environment and experience, and works with business units to identify opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

Support

  • Support for the endpoint (desktop environment, VDI, communication, etc.)
  • Hardware maintenance, installation, and make recommendations
  • Software deployment and scripting
  • Image and software deployment automation design and execution
  • Voice and Video Conferencing equipment management and troubleshooting

Operations Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) & Service Level Agreements (SLA), Develops new SOPs
  • Designs preventive maintenance and service programs for endpoint devices
  • Project execution\implementation lead
  • Analyze problem trends, determines root cause, makes recommendations, and documents resolution
  • System architecture as it relates to the end user compute environment

Security

  • Maintain a highly secure infrastructure & endpoints, protecting sensitive corporate data from internal and external threats
  • Works with security teams to develop strategy and lower risk
  • Support data forensics investigation by direction of Security and/or Legal

Engineering Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term strategies and capacity planning for future needs
  • Escalation management
  • Conduct periodic audits, testing, and remediation in accordance with IT, PCI, and internal audit policies
  • Work and/or lead projects as assigned, develop project budgets
  • Works with and mentors team to identify gaps and remediate to a plan
  • Product evaluation, cost analysis, procurement and inventory management.
  • Establishes and maintains vendor relationships

What We'll Want You To Have

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in IT or similar field or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and Apple Mac OS
  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow or other ticket tracking software
  • Advanced experience with Quest KACE or other client management system
  • In-depth experience with software deployment/scripting and architecture and/or software development life cycle
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory/AzureAD. Intune administration a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience and practical knowledge in ITIL service management processes
