About The Role:

VentureWell is in a growth phase, which means LOTS of new roles we are hiring for. VentureWell is seeking a People & Culture Assistant to join the People & Culture Recruitment and Rewards team to own the scheduling and coordination of interviews and calendars across a high volume of talent acquisition searches.

This newly created position reports to the Director of Recruitment and Rewards and will play a critical role in supporting the growth of VentureWell, directly impacting our ability to deliver on our mission. Passion for centering diversity, equity, and inclusion is key within the People & Culture team, and across the organization. If you are energized by keeping track of many moving pieces, by creating clear written communication to different audiences and being creative in solving tricky calendar challenges, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

Candidate Communication and Coordination

  • Responsible for scheduling interviews with VentureWell job applicants throughout the hiring process (initial phone screens, interviewing with the hiring manager, group stakeholder interviews, etc)
  • Communicating externally on behalf of VentureWell with job applicants in a clear, enthusiastic manner
  • Coordinating the calendars of VentureWell hiring teams across multiple job openings
  • Coordinating the calendars of VentureWell recruiters
  • Ensuring Greenhouse (applicant tracking system) is kept updated in real-time
  • Crystal clear communication and coordination of candidates who have accepted an offer that move internally from the hiring process to the onboarding process

Hiring Support

  • Create job requisitions in Greenhouse, monitor and track approvals, and post approved positions
  • Post open positions to external job boards
  • Post weekly updates in the all-staff slack channel about newly posted positions
  • Participation in recruitment activities (i.e. posting roles to job boards)
  • Support proactive outreach to prospects from the VentureWell career site and talent communities, as needed and in collaboration with the Director, Recruitment and Rewards
  • Assist with other administrative responsibilities on the Recruitment and Rewards team as needed. Some possible examples include:
  • Support the enrollment process for new hires and ensure accurate and timely completion of benefits-related paperwork
  • Support other benefits processing, including COBRA, terminations, and qualifying events.
  • Support in various administrative tasks, such as data entry, file maintenance, and record keeping
  • Provide benefit-related support to employees
  • Scheduling new hire onboarding meetings

What You Bring:

  • Comfortable using Google Suite applications (gmail, Drive, google calendar, etc.)
  • Skilled in finding creative solutions to problems (ex: finding time for five busy calendars to align for a group interview with a job candidate)
  • Exceptional attention to detail as demonstrated in prior employment and/or education
  • Experience (lived or work) engaging with marginalized groups
  • Interest in how race, racism, class, classism, gender, sexism, and related equity issues show up in the work of mission inspired organizations and their programs
  • Exemplary ethical standards, discretion, and an ability to develop trust with colleagues at all levels
  • Experience using Greenhouse or another applicant tracking system is great - and we are very willing to train as needed!

Our Benefits:

    • An attractive and equitable compensation package, including:
      • an hourly rate that annualizes at $50k-$55k commensurate with experience and internal equity
      • 403 (b) with 200% match up to a maximum contribution from VentureWell of 10% when the employee puts it 5% (eligible after one year of service for the match)
