Scope of Position
Risk Management Analyst for Alternative Energy Company to work with Risk Management Department in analysis and mitigation of construction, operational and corporate risks and the administration and maintenance of project lines commercial insurance needs.
Responsibilities
- Review and become familiar with project agreements such as PPA’s, LGIA’s, LCCAs, Supply Agreements, Warranties and Land Leases, focusing on insurance language requirements for comparison to current policy coverages to assure agreement compliance.
- Administration of the online database of project agreements on SharePoint/Risk management page.
- Administration of correct forms and links on the EDF company intranet-SharePoint.
- Work with Development department and Brokers and Insurers as needed to place ocean marine and inland transit and storage insurance as required by written contract for equipment being transported to project locations.
- Serve as team backup for Malbek MSA Agreement Review Program, SAP, other internal programs as needed.
- Administrate Operational project insurance programs by working with Asset Management, Project Finance Accountants and Operations and Maintenance to collect updated information needed for renewal indications. Maintain Project files and data bases and utilize the Ventiv Risk Management Insurance Software system (RMIS) to update project data as required.
- Administrate the Renewal Process for all operational Renewable Energy (Wind, Solar, Storage) projects to include collecting updated project data from various stakeholders, to formalizing the data into proper worksheet/report format for Broker presentation. Work with Brokers to obtain any additional underwriting information required.
- Receive renewal options and perform proper analysis for premium comparisons, loss ratios and policy coverage limits. Generate worksheets for renewal process analysis.
- Work with asset managers during renewal process, establishing a rapport to facilitate renewals, as well as reporting and presenting of final results and invoicing.
- Based on analysis results, provide reporting of selected renewal options and rationale to substantiate selection.
- Provide Updated EOP’s and COI’s and Broker Certificates as required for each program renewal.
- Work with Brokers to facilitate and complete all project premium payments and financing arrangements. Utilize SAP to create and enter PRs for project insurance invoices; track payments-invoices and establish good working relationship with internal accounting team.
- Review renewal policies for accuracy in purchased coverage lines and insured provisions and work with Brokers through the proper appeals and endorsement process as necessary.
- Administrate and maintain the Marine Cargo, transit, and warehouse storage Insurance Program
- Maintain individual Project Data files for each asset, tracking all historical project data, TIVs insurance premiums, coverages and claims history to include updates at each renewal period.
- Develop Trending reports for premiums, loss data equipment and deductibles for analysis
- Assist Risk Manager in the completion of establishing and maintaining digital processes and the maintenance procedures needed to transition the RM group program administration over to the Ventiv RMIS system.
- Maintain Various Schedules for Project data, insurance expenses, Policies, stored equipment, Syndicates and Insurers, Locations and Fixed Assets, Policy renewals and, summaries
- End of year Policy audits.
- Assist Risk Manager as needed in administering overall North America company risks and insurance programs
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of commercial and manuscript property and liability policies and their standard endorsements.
- Preferred knowledge and experience working with manuscript policies originating out of Lloyd’s of London
- Ability to analyze and assess contract risks in order to mitigate potential gaps in current and renewing coverage
- Ability to understand complex legal & financial language in both written and verbal communication.
- Project management oriented, with the ability to hit deadlines, while coordinating multiple teams and projects.
- Completion of AICPCU Certified Insurance Program, and/or Bachelors’ degree in business or insurance related field preferred.
- At least 2-years work experience in risk management specific to commercial lines insurance products for corporations preferred.
- Possess strong organizational, written, and verbal skills and the ability to communicate and work well with others
- Ability to work closely with Risk Manager in communicating status updates on workflow, scheduled renewals and daily events that risk Manager should be kept appraised of.
- Meet deadlines and maintain a pro-active approach in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and some experience using Ventiv/Origami IRMS preferred.
