HubSpot is looking for an Assistant Legal Specialist to join the Commercial Legal Team to provide front line legal support and advice to our global Customer Success organization.

In This Role, You’ll Get To

  • Provide first-line client-centric legal support to our global Customer Success team on day to day commercial and legal issues affecting our existing customer base.
  • Understand the legal support needs of our Customer Success team and customers, and help drive customer and business centric improvements and enablement.
  • Work with other business teams on a variety of legal processes, risks and opportunities as needed.
  • Monitor and track recurring legal issues affecting HubSpot’s customer base and identify areas where there is scope for improvement and enablement.

We Are Looking For People Who

  • Must have a working knowledge and experience of cloud computing, professional services and data privacy laws.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of relevant commercial legal support experience.
  • Must have experience reviewing and running independent client-service legal interactions.
  • Effectively handle high-volume and prioritization of tasks
  • Commercial contract experience as in-house counsel for a tech company is a plus.
  • Are passionate about the values in the HubSpot Culture Code.
  • Are able to handle a broad range of commercial contract matters and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, and transparent environment
  • Are enthusiastic about partnering with business to understand goals and achieve business objectives.
  • Are able to make decisions and provide advice/explain the rationale for the decision to a curious and empowered team.
  • Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members.
  • Possess strong communication skills, especially via an internal wiki, Slack and Zoom (it’s how we communicate).
  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus
  • Have superior organizational skills.
  • Want to learn quickly.
