We are hiring for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our small-but-mighty Finance Team. This means having the opportunity to join a rapidly-growing company and establishing best in class accounting procedures to help us scale and grow. You are able to roll up your sleeves to get work done -- we have a lot to do! You love the feeling that comes with getting the details and the numbers 100% right. Your role interacts with almost every department internally -- and, very often, our customers themselves -- so you approach your work with a customer service mindset. What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):

  • Prepare, process, and reconcile research respondent payments daily including credit card transactions
  • Analyze and assist in resolving both research respondent and employee inquiries regarding payments
  • Prepare, audit, and analyze research respondent payments in spreadsheets &/or databases for upload
  • Effectively manage and complete standard reconciliation procedures
  • Support the month-end close process including preparing necessary journal entry uploads
  • Provide support in processing vendor bills for payment

What you need to have (let’s call them Desired Skills and Background):

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Accounts payable experience and knowledge of general accounts payable procedures is required
  • Computer and data entry proficiency. Experience with Google Sheets and Excel preferred
  • Strong critical thinking skills and serious attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter with a willingness to ask questions and strong initiative to solve tough problems
  • Challenge-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of handling high urgency issues and requests with a level head
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathetic but diplomatic; capable of delivering the good news and the bad
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently, while remaining a team player
  • Driven by a desire to help people and enjoys problem solving
