Job Description
We are seeking a talented and driven Product Management professional to join a winning team working with market leading products in the orthopedic medical device industry!
Product Managers are responsible for assisting to develop and implement marketing plans relating to a group of product lines, including developing materials and following processes required for product launches, product line maintenance, promotions and messaging, production planning, and field sales tools. Product Managers are technical experts in their product lines.
The primary role of this Product Manager will be focused on the strategic growth and development of the products in the Patient Care portfolio marketing and Excellence Programs. This role additionally supports needs in vascular and consumer product categories. With many new products and programs launching, this is a good opportunity to apply knowledge and learn the professional launch process and meet the professional sales team.
Product development
- Identifies new product opportunities by assessing portfolio gaps, competitive landscape, and capturing VOC.
- Utilizes market research to properly inform strategy for product commercialization.
- Develops business cases and presents to senior leadership team.
- Manages commercialization of newly developed products by leading speed to market activities, developing marketing collateral and promotional strategies, as well as training the sales force.
Product line management and strategy
- Acts as subject matter and product expert for the assigned product in the Patient Care Portfolio
- Supports program development initiatives by providing insights related to VOC and market trends and Product Development Programs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to define customers’ needs and workflows.
- Leverage data and competitive insights to continuously evolve our understanding of the customer, the competition, market, surgery and clinical trends.
- Assists in relationship development with KOLs.
- Assists with monthly product forecasts to operations to support inventory planning.
- Assists in annual strategic planning process.
Promotions and channel support
- Own the development and execution of a multi-segment marketing strategy for the assigned product portfolio.
- Develops and executes annual marketing plans to meet revenue growth expectations.
- Utilizes various communication channels to promote, position, and message to all customer stakeholders.
- Develops marketing collateral, social media content, and advertising campaigns to drive growth of the assigned portfolio.
- Develops sales support tools in collaboration with sales operations team.
- Assess market and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning process.
- Supports sales training team to educate new sales representatives on the assigned product portfolio.
- Works closely with 3rd party marketing agencies to develop new messaging strategies and conduct market research.
- Utilizes Marketing Excellence (MEX) process to develop customer segmentation, messaging, and tactics to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Maintains list pricing and field discount guidelines.
- Attends and supports industry events.
Other
Assists with special projects, such as researching trends, developing reports, and other projects as required from time to time.

Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of marketing or sales experience or 1-2 years in analytics related business function (e.g. supply chain, business analysis, M&A analyst) in a Healthcare-related industry or 1-2 years management consulting or MBA
- Experience in medical device, durable medical equipment or orthopedics preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business, marketing or other related discipline.
- MBA preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Travel
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
- Typical work-related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.
