See Yourself as a Financial Analyst

The financial analyst position will directly support the Financial Planning & Analysis department within Radian, providing support and analysis in areas such as financial forecasting, revenue modeling, expense management, and financial performance reporting.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Compare actual results to forecast, summarizing and analyzing variances and key business drivers.
  • Update and enhance premium forecast model, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Own expense reporting, forecasting, and analysis for key business units.
  • Utilize Oracle planning tools for revenue budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the company to understand underlying drivers of financial performance and integrate into reforecast and budget.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting of Radian's results and updated forecasts, Capital & Liquidity reporting, Planning process, etc.
  • Drive and support ad hoc analysis to solve emerging business issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Work Experience: 1 or more years of prior work-related experience

Additional Qualifications

  • A major in finance or accounting, preferred, but not required
  • Strong interest in financial modeling/forecasting
  • At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Data retrieval skills such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, SAS, or other reporting/retrieval skills is a plus
  • Must be coachable, eager to learn, and intellectually curious, willing and able to apply logic and problem-solving skills to complex Finance business problems, look beyond the obvious to get to root causes, develop insight into problems and issues.
  • Effectively execute on plans, drive results, and take accountability for outcomes.
  • While this role is primarily a remote position, the incumbent may be required to visit office locations for specific needs related to the role. These visits will be scheduled as necessary and in accordance with the company's policies and guidelines.

Preferred Years of Prior Work-Related Experience: 1-3 years
