Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst works with Adaptive’s Information Security Officer to identify system security exposures, review significant security events, act as the “first responder” to cybersecurity incidents, assist with mitigating IT risks, and prepare security metrics.

Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions

  • Administer server and network vulnerability scanning systems.
  • Monitor intrusion detection, email security, and anti-malware alerts.
  • Respond to cybersecurity incidents by conducting investigations, containing and eradicating security threats, and documenting timelines and activities related to significant incidents.
  • Assist with technical cybersecurity assessments.
  • Assist system administrators with security configuration, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
  • Prepare security metrics.

Position Requirements

  • Technical expertise in computer networking, systems administration, and security tools, combined with the knowledge of commonly accepted security practices and procedures.
  • Technical knowledge of client/server and network/infrastructure security
  • Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, that reflect an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services security controls.

Working Conditions

  • Administrative work in a home/office environment.
  • Regular weekday work hours, with occasional weekend/after-hours planned or unplanned work as needed.
