Location: This role will be remote in the continental US, Alaska, or Hawaii

Hours: Full-time

Salary Range: $ 36.06/hour to $ 38.46/hour

Overview of the role

The Information Security Analyst will oversee the security of The Trevor Project’s systems, data, and other digital assets. This role is both a security strategist and a direct contributor to the overall organizational Information Security Program. You will monitor our cloud based systems for security issues, deploy security tools and platforms, develop a security strategy in coordination with Technology Leadership, manage the Security Awareness Training Program, and investigate and document any security issues or breaches.

You’ve previously planned, implemented, and/or managed Security Awareness Training Programs, Information Security Programs, and/or Automated Threat Detection and Remediation Programs.
  • Builder. You have a proven track record of being a strategic collaborator, taking the status quo as just a starting point, then implementing best practices and continually innovating.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to our critical mission of ending suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people, while fostering an inclusive approach to your direct work and engagement with Trevor colleagues across the organization
  • Continually grow your LGBTQ competency and awareness
  • Monitor cloud based systems for security issues.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, identify and implement remediations, and report on the findings.
  • Deploy security tools and platforms to protect systems and information infrastructure, including (but not limited to) SEIM, Security Awareness Training, Vulnerability Monitoring, and Automated Detection and Response tools.
  • Work with security vendors to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, and to determine and implement appropriate remediations.
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news.
  • Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Evaluate potential additions to the organizational software portfolio for security risk and mitigation
  • Evaluate proposed projects, changes, or data use cases for security risk and mitigation
