Role
The HR Operations Advisor role sits within the UK&I HR team. This generalist role provides support to the business with a generalist HR remit, whilst having a specialist focus on supporting TUPE activity. This will be a very interesting and varied generalist role, with the opportunity to further develop your TUPE / HR knowledge and experience, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible. We are looking for someone to join our friendly team who has the potential to grow into the role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for
- Providing support on all HR elements of TUPE activity, providing both hands on and advisory support, working collaboratively with workstream leads and building strong internal/external stakeholder relationships.
- Providing effective HR project management and risk management for TUPE projects and ensuring appropriate legal and due diligence advice is provided and acted upon
- Providing support during the TUPE consultation process. Ensuring the entire transfer-in/out process runs smoothly and effectively (from planning, negotiation, employee consultation to on-boarding).
- Deliver an efficient, customer responsive case management service, supporting and coaching managers and employees in carrying out complex and sensitive casework e.g. relating to performance improvement or grievance
- Manage casework, ensuring the organisation complies with employment law and makes appropriate recommendations where there is found to be any conflict or doubt
- Provide customer focused, comprehensive and pragmatic people management advice and support to managers, employees and business partners in line with organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements
- Contribute to other HR related projects that arise throughout the year e.g. wellbeing, maximising the offerings of our absence management providers to better support leaders
- Work closely with HR Shared services to ensure professional working relationships are established and work with the teams to focus on continuous improvement and providing a high quality service to employees and managers
- Contribute to the continued focus on process improvement
What You Will Need
- Excellent knowledge of current UK employment legislation
- Evidence of TUPE Transfer Knowledge or Experience and a willingness to build experience and knowledge in this area
- Previous experience of implementing and advising on a broad spectrum of HR policies with managers and employees
- Previous experience of supporting and managing a variety of HR case management activity
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time effectively
