Position Summary:
We are looking for a curious and passionate researcher to join our research & design team at our wholesale client. Our team crafts thoughtful, empathetic pharmaceutical experiences that aim to make people's lives easier by simplifying and supporting the prescription drug experience. We're a close-knit, friendly, and collaborative group, guided by a highly iterative, user-centered design process.
UX research is at the forefront of how we create digital products that help our members get the experience outcomes they deserve. We strive to understand our members’ needs, goals, and emotions so that we can gather crucial insights to inform product strategy and design. The team is highly collaborative in its approach to solving complex user problems, and research is key in our efforts to “put the member first” every day.
As a UX Researcher, you will build strong relationships with design, product management, analytics, and marketing as you plan, conduct, and interpret primary and secondary research to inform the direction of our pharmaceutical products, services, and experiences.
This is a completely remote position that can be done from anywhere in the continental US and operates within Central Standard time zone for working hours.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work closely with a cross-functional team of designers, content strategists, accessibility, product managers, analytics, and marketing to evaluate user experiences and identify research opportunities.
• Advocate for a user-centered, evidence-based approach to product development by socializing findings in interesting and engaging ways.
• Own all aspects of user research (i.e., study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communication, project tracking), making autonomous decisions to determine project timelines and appropriate methodology(ies) that address research objectives and accommodate project constraints.
• Utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, taking a mixed-methods approach where needed.
• Deliver clear and compelling insights, frameworks, visualizations, videos, and presentations to build empathy for our members and help drive evidence-based product, design, and tech decisions.
• Partner with other UX researchers in the development / improvement of our research practice and operations.
Required Qualifications:
• 1+ years of relevant hands-on experience as a user researcher with 1+ year(s) of experience leading your own UX research projects.
• Experience conducting / leading all phases of UX research (study design, recruiting, execution, data analysis, identifying customer insights & recommendations) with various research methodologies, at various points in the product development life cycle.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, as well as knowledge of both generative and evaluative research methods.
• Experience using one or more research platforms (e.g., UserZoom, User Testing, MUIQ, Feedback Loop, dScout, Qualtrics, etc.).
• Have a portfolio (OR) ability to walk us through recent project work to demonstrate your experience and the thought process behind your work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

• Strong communication & presentation skills: Ability to listen, articulate thoughts and ideas, educate and advocate for UX research, and ability to present and adjust research finding share-outs to different audiences.
• Collaboration skills: Interest and ability to partner with team members to ensure research is serving the needs of the team and the business, coupled with the ability to set boundaries when needed to ensure research integrity is maintained.
• Mentoring: Educate the team on research opportunities and best practices at various stages of the product development lifecycle; Teach / share competencies with other researchers on the team.
• Open to growth & development: Interest and openness to feedback and development opportunities.
