Sophos is seeking a security engineer to further improve the security of our build pipelines and products. The successful candidate will use their technical skills to combine security tooling and knowledge of security best practices to help Sophos deliver secure products to our customers. Sophos is an early adopter of emerging technologies and engineering practices. The candidate will need to exhibit creativity and have a proactive approach to using both open-source and vendor technologies.

What You Will Do

• Work with development teams to understand pipeline security requirements.
• Develop and improve DAST/SCA/SAST across Sophos.
• Respond to ad-hoc development, build and deployment security requests.
• Ensure security tooling is integrated and automated with alerting and metrics pipelines.
• Build tooling to improve product and build security across Sophos.

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a security focus within development.
• Familiarity with python, cloud services (AWS) and working with REST APIs.
• Experience with modern DevSecOps processes.
• Familiarity working in a remote-first, globally dispersed team.
