With minimal supervision, performs individual administrative functions for VSP’s Premier TPA clients including installation, maintenance, enrollment, billing, COBRA, research, analysis and problem resolution.
Gather, analyze and interpret client requirements; recommend administrative solutions to meet the client’s unique requirements for individual billing and enrollment
Install new and renewing clients in VSP’s individual billing system, input rates to generate member bills and track receivables
Ensure accurate and timely posting of all Accounts Receivables
Establish and maintain automatic payments, post and reconcile member payments and balance daily posting to prepare bank deposits
Support open enrollment for clients by validating member communications and providing Customer Care with Client Detail Pages so that CSRs are informed of client’s eligibility requirements
Process enrollments in the Open Enrollment Application and troubleshoot any eligibility or system issues related to the enrollment process
Act as point of contact for inquiries from business partners (internal and external) and members regarding questions about individual billing, open enrollment and COBRA administration
Monitor numerous departmental reports to validate and reconcile client information, member eligibility and revenue applications
Coordinate with business partners to resolve enrollment and billing issues by conducting routine audits. Implement resolutions
Research and respond verbally and in writing to inquiries regarding eligibility and VSP’s policies regarding COBRA legislation
Job Specifications
Typically Has The Following Skills Or Abilities
One to two years of experience in a position with duties that combine customer service and financial or numeric skills
Knowledge of COBRA law, policies and administrative practices
Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and to make arithmetic computations accurately
Strong math skills in order to identify and interpret patterns and trends in numbers
Experience handling, posting and balancing cash or premiums
Strong organizational skills for setting work priorities and managing a high volume of information from multiple sources.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems requiring changes in priorities and workflow, or partnering with other business areas
Proficient ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database applications including building files, writing formulas, combining columns, running queries and reports, and mainframe applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clean credit history as reported by credit report
Ability to type 35 wpm
Ability to perform 10-key by touch (6,000 ksph)
Ability to key both alpha and numeric (6,000 ksph)
