Overview

As a Security Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical support for securing modern technologies and platforms, while developing security requirements & best-practice guidance to ensure the business maintains a competitive security posture. As such, you will serve as a member of our third level security investigations team, providing digital forensics and in-depth analysis for incidents escalated from our Level I and II SOC teams.

A Security Engineer is also responsible for collaborating with our other Enterprise Security Fusion Center teams to ensure secure configurations for our monitoring and alerting tools. The Engineer in this role, will also help to design and develop workflows and playbooks to ensure appropriate and timely escalation for all security incidents requiring investigation.

An ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Information Security, or a related field.

In addition, the candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be successful working on a team collaboratively, and understand foundational IT concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identification, prioritization, and remediation guidance of security detections and threats.
  • Collaborate on the evaluation and use of security technologies and tools, including, but not limited to technologies for Network Security, IAM, IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, DLP, VM, EDR, etc.
  • Participate in the assessment of potential threats and risks to systems and technologies, driving remediation with internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge of information security risks, threats, and controls.
  • Knowledge of security technology and tools leveraged to monitor, alert, and investigate security incidents (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, DLP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of technological trends and developments in technology and how they impact the threat landscape.
  • Knowledge of core IT concepts and functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Software Development, or another related technical discipline. - Preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Information Security, Cyber Security.
  • 1 year of experience in Object oriented programming languages: C#, Java,.Net, Python or JavaScript.

Colorado Compensation

$65,000 - $90,000.
