What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced writer to produce highly visible, highly valuable, and strategically critical content to walk potential guests through all of the unique aspects of the vacation rentals within Vacasa’s portfolio.

You’ll generate ideas, collaborate with talented team members, and meet with internal leaders and stakeholders to incorporate thoughts, feedback, and messaging in a consistent voice and tone.

What You’ll Do

  • Tell the stories of unique vacation rentals by writing interesting and engaging headlines and descriptions with a goal of increasing conversion.
  • Support our Onboarding team with reviewing and editing copy.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to come up with new test ideas, new formatting suggestions, and new content that could better entice a potential guest to book a home.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share feedback and provide best practices.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience developing concepts and executing content creation for known brands or organizations, either on the client or agency side, across multiple channels. Experience writing vacation rental or real-estate content is a plus!
  • Strategic thinking: you know how to ask the right questions or search for the right information to ensure the content you’re creating meets our true business need.
  • Balance: you can prioritize multiple projects and tasks according to business needs.
  • Collaborative spirit: you love to work with other teams to create highly engaging and effective content.
  • You take your writing personally: you put yourself in the shoes of your customer, are driven to create high-quality content, and adapt your style to meet the goal of a piece.
  • Grammar guru: do we even need to say this? You have exceptional spelling and grammar skills, expect perfection in all communications, and educate your colleagues when needed.
  • Eagerness to grow and educate: you welcome feedback, ask for new opportunities, and pay attention to industry trends to stay at the top of your game—and love to share your expertise with the other writers on the team.

Working conditions

Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

You’ll be working in your home office setting. We hold virtual training sessions and weekly team meeting. Occasional offsite team meetings in your region or our HQ locations. Requires frequent, repetitive use of a computer, phone, and office equipment. Requires patient, professional communication with prospective clients, and the ability to build confidence with prospects.

Compensation

  • $20.00/hr
