Legal.io is working with several established and growing tech companies seeking a 100% remote, Legal Assistant to join their Legal Ops team on a contract basis.

What You’ll Do / Who You Are:

• Assist in responding to requests for information and documents from internal and external auditors, customers, partners and other stakeholders
• Assist with mail distribution, legal document intake/distribution, presentations, filing/scanning, and special projects
• Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and reports.
• Maintain and update databases and tracking systems.
• Assist Senior members of the Legal Ops team with developing workflows and streamlining processes
• Identify, create, and improve legal workflows, focusing on efficiency, scale and operational excellence (e.g. automate incoming requests for legal review and advice, leverage technology to more efficiently respond to legal questions)
• Contribute to the design and management of the Legal Department internal data base of knowledge management

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience at fast growing company or legal firm preferred
• Prior paralegal or legal assistant/admin experience
• Prior experience developing forms, processes, policies, FAQs, and workflows.
• Experience with change management and communications
• Basic computer skills, including Google Suite, Adobe Professional, DocuSign, SimpleLegal, and other web-based applications.
• Basic writing, researching, proofreading, and formatting skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.

Role Details:

• New clients need on a weekly basis
• Location: 100% remote
• Full time or part time, contract hire for either 3, 6 or 12 month engagements (some contract engagements will have the option to renew, and others may convert to full time direct hire employment upon successful completion and budgetary allowance)
