Summary

What we’re looking for is someone who is willing to learn and open to new ideas. This position focuses on designing and developing solutions for our new and existing projects. This position requires a candidate with an enthusiastic and energetic personality who will be organized, inspirational and collaborative. This position will report to VP of Product.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Axcient’s x360Cloud (Cloud-to-Cloud backup) product experience and the ultimate business success of the product line
• Act as the SME (subject matter expert) for x360Cloud with a deep understanding of core use-cases, key functionality, specifications, pricing, technical and market differentiators
• Drive the strategic planning process and ensure continuing alignment of the product strategy with the overall company strategy
• Work directly with existing and potential customers to understand and empathize with their problems and uncover market opportunities
• Perform customer and user discovery to understand customer needs and build the product strategy
• Work closely with Product Owners and Lead Developers to build product specifications, release plans, ensure technical feasibility and execution
• Create outcome-based product roadmaps that accelerate the growth of Axcient’s core product offerings
• Partner with marketing and sales departments to ensure successful go-to-market initiatives which includes product positioning, sales training, external webinars and more
• Empower sales, marketing and other teams with your product vision, market knowledge, and product deliveries
• Direct market research and competitive analysis to educate internal stakeholders, inform product roadmaps, and develop compelling narratives and campaigns.
• Evangelize the product vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned and understand the overall strategic direction and potential impact upon the business
• Measure what matters and use that data for tactical and strategic moves
• Be an expert on the MSP channel and their needs

Who You Are

• Demonstrated success as a Product Manager on a successful software product
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a strong sense of ownership and competitive spirit
• A problem solver at heart
• A passion for great customer experiences
• Strong technical background; Previous software development experience preferred
• Self-starter with focus on people and building relationships
• Comfortable in a remote (work from home) environment
• Willing to travel to headquarters and for industry events
• Background in the MSP channel and their technology stacks
• Experience with public cloud software and tools (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of Backup Disaster Recovery products and technologies
• Direct experience with product discovery techniques

The estimated OTE for this position is from $120,000 to $140,000 annually. Actual compensation my vary and will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
