An Associate Product Manager is responsible for collecting product data, doing customer research, coordinating with stakeholders, and developing new product features. You would work with one or more product managers and enable them to do their work more effectively.
Major Responsibilities:
Product/Project Ownership
- Supports the Director of Product Management with an AI-focused initiative
- Manages long-term projects and products under the mentorship of senior product managers
User, Competitor, and Customer Research
- Conducts research to identify customer needs and market gaps
- Develops market and competitive intelligence
- Gathers and organizes product feedback into actionable insights
- Assists in preparing for and facilitating user research
- Maintains a broad understanding of our external context, market, and competitors and how all three are evolving
Product Planning
- Prioritizes the implementation of new features and set specific timelines
- Develops product requirements that align with business goals. Define success metrics for new features
Execution
- Coordinates with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions
- Coordinates with stakeholders to achieve the product vision
Internal Communication
- Creates support and training documents for internal and external users
- Liaises with the Marketing department to ensure proper advertisement and positioning of new products
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in using productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software)
- Relevant coursework or certifications related to product management
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, computer science)
OR
- Professional experience in product management or related roles, or relevant internship experience
