The Product Manager, Receipt Processing is responsible for ingesting consumer purchase data in many forms, parsing and processing it and turning it into structured data for downstream processes to utilize. The role is a mix of strategic and tactical - looking for new technologies and methods to increase automation and data quality, adapting to the future of how consumers share their data, and getting into the nitty gritty details of processing receipts and the complex business logic involved.
Here's What You'll Be Doing On a Day To Day Basis
This role will work with many other back-end development teams, including Deep Learning and Mobile Apps, and very closely with our Operations team in maintaining and improving our data entry application. The role will also coordinate and communicate with many other parts of the organization, including our Data Science team, Services team, and Sales to help them better understand the nuances of our data.
What you will get to do
- Own the team’s roadmap and set clear priorities for the team. Work with engineering leads to drive quarterly planning sessions
- Gather feedback from around the organization and incorporate industry knowledge to modify the roadmap and re-prioritize as necessary
- Run standups, sprints, and planning for our development team
- Maintain and prioritize a sprint backlog of tickets
- Work with the Product Owners to translate the product specifications into mockups and actionable steps for the development team
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for our Receipt Processing and communicate the implications of this logic to other teams
- Manage resource allocation across different initiatives and work closely with engineering leaders to make sure that key engineering talent is efficiently allocated
- Own the team’s objectives, key results, and monitor metrics regularly to measure the team’s performance and impact
Skills & Requirements
What you bring
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders on collecting feedback, prioritizing tasks, and managing the engineering backlog
- Demonstrated ability to manage many competing tasks and timelines and communicate their status and results effectively to multiple stakeholders
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in an industry that’s constantly changing
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to speak the technical language of engineers, as well as the language of our clients to Sales & Services teams
- Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner or strong Agile / Scrum process understanding
- Basic or intermediate experience in SQL preferred
- An understanding of consumer, retail, or eCommerce datasets at a granular level would be nice to have
