Welcome to Expel... we’d like you to help us do just that! For this role you’ll report to our Assistant Controller and join a rapidly-maturing, agile accounting team ready for whatever our future holds. We’ve adopted a “continuous close” approach this year that allows us to boast a speedy 3-day monthly close while maintaining our “customer service” reputation with other teams and still have bandwidth to knock out bigger key priorities.
We like to say that accountants aren’t boring people, we just get excited over boring things. We’re on the lookout for someone that can match our enthusiasm for breaking through the status quo of accounting. This includes things like bookkeeping, reconciliations, disbursements, reporting, tax compliance, audit preparations, etc.

Work Location
Our headquarters is in Herndon, Virginia. However, we realize that while there is a benefit to in-person interaction, good people don’t all live in Northern Virginia. Remote work within the continental US is an option for this role.
Additional Notes
The targeted compensation for this role is: $65,000-90,000 USD OTE + equity.
We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.
