- Answer clients’ statistical questions by researching our database and occasionally outside sources such as media guides

- Use Tableau to create advanced data visualizations and graphics

- Attend regular online meetings for training or administrative purposes

- Regularly work nights and/or weekends

- Work from home, as conditions might require, with total focus on tasks

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us:

- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other analytical field, or a degree in Journalism or Communications

- Experience in statistical research and analysis in the sports field

- Strong grammar and written communication skills

- Samples of your writing, preferably on sports and/or analytics

- Knowledge or experience in SQL and Tableau software

- Strong familiarity with and interest in major U.S. pro sports as well as college football and basketball

- Deep knowledge of Major League Baseball

- Ability to analyze sports statistics and present them clearly and creatively

- High comfort level working in a deadline-intensive atmosphere

- Focus and dedication to work responsibly in a work-from-home setting

- Passion for sports and willingness to go the extra mile to unearth the best stats and insights

Bonus Skills:

- Experience in data journalism, especially in sports

- Ability to translate English content into Spanish

- Experience in sports television production

- Experience with PL/SQL coding and Oracle database scripting

- Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence)

- Knowledge of Twitter and understanding social media engagement/analytics
