The Role

Here at Marigold, we’re working to grow our Business Development Team. If you’re a motivated, forward-thinking individual with your eyes on professional growth, this is the role for you.

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be a driving force behind Marigold's overall growth as you fill our Sales team’s pipeline with qualified sales leads. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced tech company where career growth opportunities exist for those that are hungry and motivated.

In This Role You Will

  • Facilitate conversations with prospects who have shown an interest in one or more of our marketing technologies.
  • Responsible prospecting, setting meetings, and generating qualified pipeline for the sales teams
  • Effectively collaborate across departments and direct current customers to the proper channels and resources.
  • Perform consultative calls to identify our prospect's needs, position CM Group’s product offering, and connect them with the product that best aligns with their email marketing needs and requirements.
  • Effectively communicate how CM brands are positioned in the market, and communicate core features, functionality, and benefits.
  • Assist in the consultative sales process by scheduling meetings, typically a demo call, with our Sales teams.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other sales tools to manage your pipeline and maintain accurate information about prospects and leads.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills
  • Interest in building a career in technology sales and customer service.
  • Proven track record of owning your goals and consistently surpassing them
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, sales environment with minimal supervision.
  • Time management skills; ability to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with strong attention to detail
  • Open to feedback & coaching
  • Adaptable and open to change
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of marketing software and technology
  • Previous experience in customer facing roles
