What to expect as a Business Development Representative at Elastic Path?

Elastic Path is currently seeking a high-achieving experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Global Revenue Operations team. As the first touchpoint for sales engagement, you will play a critical role in communicating our value proposition through both inbound and outbound lead generation activities. Working in collaboration with Marketing and Field Sales, your primary goal is to identify, qualify and secure meetings with our ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts.

 

Location: We are looking for candidates to be based anywhere in the US. Elastic Path is a Remote First employer, and you’ll have the tools to work from wherever suits you best.

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Development Representative will build a sales pipeline while achieving monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.

  • Research, identify, and prioritize ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts for prospecting activities
  • Build prospecting contact lists and org charts based on both technical and business decision-making and influence
  • Create, manage and drive all qualified leads to Sales acceptance
  • Provide account team with detailed call notes in Salesforce to ensure opportunities are understood and next steps are clearly identified
  • Collaborate with Marketing in executing various demand generation campaigns
  • Follow up on Marketing-generated leads to qualify them for potential Sales opportunities
  • Utilize and leverage internal and external technology to identify, develop and manage marketing leads effectively.
  • Research and target companies via outbound prospecting using our available tools such as ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, LinkedIn, Phone, and Events
  • Support a multichannel approach to business development including chat, email, phone, and social communications strategies.
  • Understand how Elastic Path solutions address various customer pain points in support of enterprise-grade eCommerce solutions
  • Understand and apply Elastic Path security policies, processes and controls. as required, in day-to-day tasks.

What experience do you need to Be Remarkable in this position?

  • Previous sales or lead generation experience
  • A basic understanding of Cloud computing and SaaS offerings, and knowledge of eCommerce solutions is a plus
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written skills
  • You're ambitious, creative, and keep a goal-oriented and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to build meaningful business relationships with Elastic Path customers, prospects, and internal colleagues
  • A growth mindset, consistently working to improve your skills and adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Humble confidence and the ability to differentiate Elastic Path to prospective buyers and partners

  • Ecommerce experience
  • Sales/lead generation experience in enterprise software or SaaS
