Our Newest Opportunity:

Summary:

The Benefits Communication Specialist is responsible for creating marketing pieces to educate our clients’ employees on their benefit plans. This includes presentations, booklets, flyers, video campaigns, etc. The Benefits Communication Specialist will work with the Account Manager and client to ensure all renewal insurance carrier paperwork is completed and eligibility submitted during open enrollment. Also, the role is responsible for implementing and maintaining benefit administration systems utilized by employees to enroll in their requested plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining online enrollment platforms for our clients
  • Act as lead regarding setting up EDI connectivity with the insurance carrier(s) and the client’s benefit system
  • Develop understanding of HR and Benefits Technology
  • Research and evaluate new technology tools
  • Develop open enrollment timeline
  • Assist with implementation of new and renewal of plans
  • Manage the renewal enrollment submissions to the insurance carriers
  • Delegate administrative tasks to internal team members
  • Managing employer data within CRM
  • Creating customized presentations in collaboration with internal team members and the client
  • Development of collaterals to market employee benefits to employer groups
  • Works closely with various departments to ensure internal data is accurately documented
  • Establish and lead phone calls with clients to review marketing materials
  • Review and train benefits enrollment specialist for clients’ open enrollment
  • Create new benefits marketing templates to be used by the internal team

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and carrier websites;
  • Proficient in Prezi and InDesign
  • Familiarity with database applications, a plus;
  • Proven track record in customer service;
  • 4 year college degree or 3+ years of applicable job experience;
