About The Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), your job is to get the sales process moving by making a great first impression over the phone and establishing a solid foundation on which a beneficial, long-term relationship can be built. You will have the opportunity to work with inspiring philanthropic organizations such as the ALS Association, Children’s Home & Aid, and World Animal Protection. Thousands more can benefit - we just need to show them how. That's where you come in!

What You'll Be Doing

  • You'll be responsible for calling into existing clients and prospects to pitch Blackbaud's solutions, campaign planning and analysis, and research
  • Managing 800 accounts a month, with 60-80 dials a day into your account list
  • Gathering information about potential clients, including details about key stakeholders, technology needs and fundraising goals, to then explain the features and benefits of Blackbaud's solutions
  • Partnering with our outside sales team to craft a customized software package for each prospect, based on information gathered
  • Achieve monthly lead quota

What We’ll Want You To Have

  • Results-oriented and disciplined to manage time effectively
  • Previous tele sales experience with a high outbound call volume would be a plus
  • Previous technical or software product sales would be a plus
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment

The starting base salary and annual proposed commission is $37,600.00 to $48,500.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
