Job Summary

Real Chemistry is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing RadScience team!

This role can be remote in the US or in any of our US offices, including New York City, Boston or Chicago.

What You’ll Do

Creative Strategy

  • Strategize, ideate and iterate for a wide range of scientific visual communication projects
  • Work collaboratively with key team members (Art Directors, Designers, Developers, Animators, Strategy and Account/Project Management Teams)

Execution & Work Output

  • Incorporate strong understanding of composition, design principles, typography and content hierarchy into all projects
  • Create graphics/user interface designs for a wide range of projects including:
    • Print and digital designs
    • Websites and applications
    • Wireframes and site maps
  • As needed, incorporate print based experience, i.e. utilizing templates, understanding color conversation (spot, CMYK, RGB), in order to deliver print-ready files to third-party vendors
  • Commit to having a strong understanding of the background and objectives of each assigned project
  • Attend and participate in project ideation, creative brainstorming, and all assigned internal project meetings – includes presenting work as requested
  • Concept and explore creative solutions individually and/or collaboratively with the production team
  • Consider business objectives, user needs and best practices/trends to influence design decisions
  • Adhere to organization conventions established by the department (i.e. file naming and organization) and works within designated company platforms/software to ensure smooth collaboration and transition of working files between team members
  • Stays detail-oriented , effectively balances multiple assigned projects, and iterates quickly and cleanly
  • Deliver work-in-progress (WIP) and final deliverable by the assigned deadline within the established timeline to the appropriate team member.
    • Provides progress updates at the frequency designated by the Art Director (AD)
    • Flags any concerns to the Art Director/Project Manager in a timely manner (I.e., delays to progress, gaps in understanding, software/technique troubleshooting)
  • Maintain professional manner in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Embrace and incorporate constructive feedback while upholding a positive attitude
  • Adhere to pre-established client branding guidelines and aesthetic design concepts, as needed.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Effectively collaborates with members across the entire team to succeed
  • Disciplined adherence to agency procedures and standards
  • Contribute and/or provide feedback to supervisor, leadership, and fellow team members with a solution-oriented focus

What You Should Have

  • 0-2 years of graphic design experience, previous internship experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in art, computer graphics or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proficient experience in: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge: Figma or Adobe XD
  • Good organization and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Adept interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Account, Strategy and Project Management
  • A Portfolio that demonstrates strong creative execution, innovative solves to client problems, or projects that show strategic and conceptual thinking

Pay Range: $65,000-$85,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
