The Finance team is responsible for the accounting and financial activities of the organization. Our team shares a passion for analyzing data and furthering education.  Our global team works collaboratively with all departments to ensure accurate and timely data, enabling leadership with reliable information to maintain our leading position in EdTech.

The Staff Accountant is part of the Promethean Accounting team. This role involves preparing various accounting entries and reconciliations as part of the month-end close to ensure the accounting records are accurate. The Staff Accountant also provides support to other areas of the business in accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate accounting records
• Assist in the monthly close process
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with annual external audit(s)
• Provide financial information to Tax team to prepare tax returns
• Assistance with certain cash management and treasury functions, including daily bank reconciliations
• Assistance with ad-hoc accounting-related projects

Requirements

• 1+ years of Accounting experience
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent excel/IT skills
• Accounting ERP and financial reporting tool experience
• Communication skills – both verbally and written
• Ability to manage and prioritize own workload
