Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Department: Revenue

Location: Remote - United States

Position Summary

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing Sales team. This position is a remote/ work from anywhere opportunity. This full-time position will be responsible for setting up prospect meetings for our Account Executives. This individual will report to our Director of Sales Development.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams – build relationships, prioritise tasks, achieve milestones
  • Must have a passion for technology, sales and must be highly motivated to succeed..
  • At least one years’ experience with business-to-business sales over the phone.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Good verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • Experience in the software industry is preferred.
  • We'll give you the information, you make the calls! You'll make 100+ prospecting activities per day (emails, phone calls, text messages, video messaging, LinkedIn Inmails) to accounts per day, attempting to reach potential clients, prequalify them, and transfer leads over to an account executive.
  • Experience fielding inbound leads and following up meticulously to improve lead to opportunity conversion rates.
  • Build rapport and trusting relationships with prospects to develop an understanding of each client's situation and convey the value of the Velocity Global services in each interaction.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales goals, as assigned.
  • Strategically overcome objections given by potential clients.
  • Resolve and document each call to a lead or prospect in Salesforce.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • 1 year minimum experience in a sales role, preferably within software sales
  • Strong work ethic

  • Enthusiasm for great performance, striving to exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
