About the Role:
The Product Manager is responsible for researching, understanding, and documenting the needs of product users / stakeholders to support the specification, design, development, and release of product features. Product Managers work in close collaboration with Product Designers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and other Product Managers to produce well-written specifications and designs that support product development. Ensure alignment with other PMs for a synergistic rollout of new functionality, consistent with overall product strategy. Product Managers also support the Director, Editorial Solutions and appropriate Marketing, Documentation, Customer Care, Account Management, and Sales teams to ensure successful product releases. This person must be comfortable serving as a product ambassador, both internally and with external partners and clients.
As part of the Workflow Solutions Department, this role focuses on developing solutions to editorial workflow problems for Wiley and external publisher partners.
This role is a great opportunity for peer review and editorial operations experts with project management experience who are keen to transition to a product development role or for experienced product managers who would like to focus on business and product strategy in the publishing space.
Collaboration with multiple stakeholders and team members to execute problem vetting and validation exercises is essential for initiating any requirements documentation and prioritization process. This work will be instrumental in strategic product decisions and solution design to ensures quality delivery.
