Associate Product Manager, Assessment
The Associate Product Manager provides support to the product managers and product leaders. These assessment support activities include but are not limited to project management, market analysis, competitive research, concept prototyping, revenue growth planning/projections, customer/user feedback-gathering, metric tracking, collateral creation, and process improvement. This person will work closely with marketing, researchers, and field operations associates while playing a key enabling role in assessment initiatives such as market opportunity identification, solution innovation, and global operations enablement. In some cases, the Associate Product Manager may assume product management responsibilities for a single product.
Responsibilities:
- Support product managers through all aspects of the product lifecycle.
- Develop, manage, and update assessment project plans (e.g., activities, objectives, progress metrics).
- Coordinate input and feedback from field operations about new or innovative assessment concepts.
- Coordinate market data-gathering from external clients, prospects, and end users, including recommendations for resulting actions.
- Work with field enablement and product marketing to create internally- and externally facing product documentation for digital and print.
- Produce reports and recommendations based on product data (e.g., usage, service, financial).
- Educate internal and external customers or partners on research or assessment-related innovations.
- Propose and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing updates, feedback, new ideas, and challenges.
- Support product-related information management, including designing and maintaining SharePoint sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Formal work experience in sales, marketing, consulting or a related business discipline
- Qualifications and/or experience in product development or product management
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of common assessment products and their application for leadership insight and growth.
- Creating and leveraging project management tools to execute complex projects.
- Experience conducting market research.
- Industry experience (leadership development, talent management, HR).
- Proficiency in tools for statistical or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in methods for customer experience, design thinking, or usability testing.
