Job Summary

At Paycor, an Information Technology Auditor will work closely with the Information Technology Audit Manager and other stakeholders to understand the audit objectives and assess risks. You will collaborate with the Information Technology Audit Manager to convey the audit vision, strategy, and direction to IT and Business teams. You will serve as the primary communication channel between business stakeholders and the audit team, ensuring that audit findings and recommendations are effectively communicated and understood. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of IT systems and controls. You will use your expertise to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and assess the effectiveness of existing controls. As Information Technology Auditor, you will take a leadership role in managing the audit backlog, prioritizing audit activities, and coordinating with other teams to gather necessary information and documentation. In summary, as an Information Technology Auditor, your ability to analyze complex IT systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders will be crucial in ensuring the organization's compliance and security. Your attention to details, expertise in IT audit and related risks will contribute to the success of the audit function and help drive positive outcomes for the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support technology, operational, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Service Organization Controls (SOC) audits, from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to audit methodology and standards.
  • Assess technology-based risks and evaluate key technology controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive workpapers that meet professional and internal audit methodology requirements.
  • Follow detailed IT process narratives, process flow charts, and conduct walkthroughs to identify risks and key controls.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information and support during external audits to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Compile audit findings and observations, sharing key insights and observations to leadership.
  • Prepare well-written reports summarizing audit results in a clear and meaningful manner.
  • Support audit finding tracking, document status updates, and conduct timely remediation testing.
  • Support special technology-based projects in addition to traditional audit projects.
  • Foster professional relationships within the Internal Audit team and across business and IT functions.
  • Stay updated on key technology audit methodologies and emerging technologies impacting the industry.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as technology, information systems, business intelligence, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Possession of one or more professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CFE, CISM, CISSP, or a strong desire to pursue such certifications.
  • Between 1-2 years of experience in IT Audit, Cybersecurity, or related fields such as IT or Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of IT general controls, cybersecurity principles, cloud computing, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated high integrity, credibility, and trustworthiness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team, collaborate with peers, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex technical information and audit documentation.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a strong interest in staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the field of IT auditing.

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, ($64,680 - $110,424) Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on the position.
