Overview

Amey is a leading infrastructure services and engineering company. We are trusted partners of Government – both national and local – managing assets and complex projects that are vital to the sustainable growth of the country.

Our recruitment team manages hundreds of vacancies at any time across our three business areas – and we are looking for a Social Media Specialist to help us get our message out to the right candidates.

This is a brand-new role, with plenty of opportunity for you as our Social Media expert to make your mark!

As the Social Media Specialist for the Recruitment team, you will work with us to create content plans which align with specific recruitment campaigns and company events. You will own our Instagram page and build it from scratch, plus manage content going to our other socials in liaison with the wider Communications team.

This would suit a Social Media Executive/Manager who knows how to target the right audience and can shape our content in a ‘stand-alone’ role.

This is a remote working role (UK only) and we are open to flexible working (condensed hours).

What will this role involve?

  • Working closely with the Recruitment and Communications teams
  • Planning engaging content and creating future content plans which feed into relevant recruitment campaigns/business objectives and that showcase Amey’s expertise and people agenda as a trusted delivery partner
  • Creating appropriate strategy and launching our Instagram page
  • Creating social media campaigns and either managing this on Instagram or pushing out via the Communications team
  • Ensuring content is delivered to candidates that is relevant and timely
  • Monitoring our social media
  • Engaging with our audience on Instagram including responding to messages/comments as appropriate

What are we looking for?

  • A strong understanding of the role of digital and social media as an internal communications tool and in showcasing organisational value and strengthening brand profile.
  • Experience of maintaining social media platforms, particularly Instagram, with a familiarity of best practices for posting and responding to comments and messages.
  • Experience of recruitment marketing – marketing that targets a wide and varied audience as well as targeted campaigns, ideally covering early careers and diversity.
  • Awareness of content that appeals in regards to recruitment.
  • Understanding of new, fresh approaches to ensure that @Ameyplc is maximising social media channels and reaching and engaging our target audiences.
  • Ability to draft and edit content, including supporting staff in commissioning a balance of quality content from across the organisation.
  • Familiarity with social and design software (e.g. Adobe, Falcon.io and SEMRush CANVA)

In return:

Our rewards make us feel valued here at Amey. If you’re happy, you’ll think better. It’s a simple formula but one that puts your wellbeing as a top priority, that’s why we’ve worked hard to build a reward and benefits program that puts you first, including;
