About the Role:

The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role within the customer service team, addressing customer inquiries, issues, and requests from commercial insurance clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Responsive Service Delivery:
  • Manage tier 1 customer interactions via phone, email, and platforms, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to set SLA’s in a consistent and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to handle various tasks such as email requests, policy issuance, and communication follow-ups.
  • Effective Issue Resolution:
  • Utilize expertise in Workers Comp to address policy, billing, and agency queries.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with partners and internal teams, ensuring consistent communication.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues while anticipating and preventing future challenges.
  • Advocate for customer needs and perspectives.
  • Continuous Learning:
  • Engage in ongoing training.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Preferably 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic problem-solving capabilities to address simple issues swiftly with guidance.
  • Demonstrated self-direction and responsibility towards tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite tools, Salesforce, and collaboration platforms like Slack; familiarity with office equipment.
