What’s unique about this role?

Associate Application Support Engineers assist with the installation and maintenance of software applications to streamline business operations. Duties include optimizing software application performance, installing updates, and performing debugging procedures.

What will this person do?

  • Providing software application support under the supervision of the Support or Senior Engineer.
  • Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.
  • Assisting with maintaining effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications.
  • Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
  • Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Support or Senior Engineer.
  • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
  • Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
  • Interact with clients and 3rd party vendors.

  • Two-year degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.
  • Assist with code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
  • Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
  • Proficiency in monitoring for application errors and assisting in their repair.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Encryption Standards (AES).
  • Ability to keep up with innovation in application design.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent customer service
  • Be part of an on-call rotation and have the ability to work flexible hours as needed including some nights and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used eDiscovery tools including but not limited to Relativity, Brainspace, Nuix, and ECapture is preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of SQL Database Design, administration, and reporting
  • Basic level knowledge of T-SQL query language
  • Understanding of Linux-based operating systems
  • Understanding of VMware ESXi and Vcenter
  • Understanding of SAN and NAS storage systems

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $64,000 to $107,000 per year. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
