Honor exists to expand the world’s capacity to care.

We’re combining high tech with high-touch to deliver better home care for aging adults, better jobs for Care Professionals, and entirely new offerings to support the aging journey, at scale.

Founded in 2014, and now a Series E funded “Unicorn” valued at over $1B, Honor leads the world’s largest home care network with the most advanced care platform. Our August 2021 acquisition of Home Instead has created a global company that’s revolutionizing how society cares for older adults, their families, and Care Professionals.

The Honor Care Platform combines local care and the most advanced technology to bring the highest quality care to more aging adults.

Grow at Honor as part of a united team where everyone shows up authentically, shares ideas bravely, and solves complex problems!

About the Work:

Honor is looking for a dedicated and amazing Care Pro Training Associate to join our team and train Care Pros, who are the heart and soul of Honor. This trainer will deliver partner agency orientations and trainings throughout the US, ensuring we maintain quality while preparing our Care Pros for success on our platform.

The Care Pro Training Associate provides an exceptional first experience for new Care Pros through conducting a high volume of remote orientations. These Care Pros will either be directly hired to Honor, or they will be joining the Honor Care Network from agencies we’ve partnered with or acquired. This person will be responsible for vetting candidates as the final group interviewer and also ensuring each new employee is equipped with a clear understanding of our policies and their expectations on the platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct anywhere from 1-2 remote orientation sessions per day, including 1-3 weekend days and/or evenings per month, as needed
  • Present new hire slide deck during each session and facilitate engagement throughout the training and assessment
  • Communicate Honor’s policies and expectations with a high degree of accuracy, and master internal policies to be able to address questions
  • Assist with the gathering and completion of pre-hire documentation when needed
  • Build rapport with candidates, ensuring we provide an exceptional and engaging initial experience
  • Validate candidates’ fit for our platform based on their engagement and demonstration of aptitude and skill throughout the orientation
  • Liaise with internal and external team members to communicate Care Pro updates
  • Conduct remote reassessments of tenured Care Pros’ transfer skills as needed
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, pilots, and tasks to support the greater Implementation and Training Orgs such as Care Pro upskilling programs and skills trainings, both in-person or remotely
  • Ensure adherence to Honor’s policies and procedures, recognizing when to escalate situations and when to problem-solve directly
  • If training demand is low, willingness to flex into other tasks to support the broader onboarding team as needed

Qualifications And Experience

  • 1+ years experience teaching, training, or facilitating employee onboarding
  • Excellent verbal communication and time management skills
  • Ability to present to a group effectively, virtual presentation experience required
  • Track record of identifying and adapting to individuals’ unique learning styles and needs effectively and compassionately
  • Strong interpersonal and observational skills in order to evaluate/monitor quality and progress of Care Pros
  • Strong customer service in all communications - in person or via phone, text, and e-mail
  • Strong relationship management - building trust quickly, active listening and ability to diffuse higher emotion with redirection, whilst maintaining a sense of authority
  • Ability to prioritize levels of risk, informed by basic understanding of HR
  • Strong grasp of technology and ability to efficiently troubleshoot, especially tools such as G-suite, a smart phone and Slack
  • Due to remote training, this role requires home set up that is professional and free from distraction during orientations.

Preferred Experience

  • Caregiving or other healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Slack and Google Suite a plus
