Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Finance & Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role combining both accounting and financial analysis activities, you will manage scaled-up accounting processes and support the Head of Finance with financial analysis. As a key member of our finance team, you'll monitor departmental budgets, maintain forecasting models, and assist in budget and cost processes, as well as support accounting operations. Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Support accounting administration, including vendor administration, purchase orders (POs), Statements of Work (SOW) change orders, reconciliations, and input of non-accounting data used in accounting reports.
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

FP&A and Reporting

  • Take ownership of the monthly departmental budget dashboards, providing insights into budget variances and trends.
  • Maintain forecast models to aid in financial planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost analysis processes to optimize resource allocation.

Systems

  • Interact with staff to ensure internal customers effectively utilize various financial platforms.
  • Maintain and analyze financial system-generated reports to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Assist in assessing, developing, implementing, and maintaining various systems that may be evaluated to enhance financial operations.

Compliance

  • Engage in assigned quality, policies, and procedures support, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain recurring third-party external reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support communication from the finance department to various stakeholders.

Strategic

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance on strategic projects, including the annual financial audit, revenue recognition, and the annual & mid-cycle budget process.
  • Conduct cost and pricing analysis for SaaS services.
  • Assist in trade association program grant applications to support growth initiatives.
  • Support Head of Finance with capital markets outreach, decks, and models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with financial systems and ERP software is a plus (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to communicate with and interface cross functionally with all levels of staff/management and different technical backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
