Aegon is seeking a skilled and motivated Intermediate Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Security Team. As a member of our fast-paced and energetic team, you will play a key role in identifying and mitigating cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and implement solutions for process failures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the IAM, PAM, and Firewall request queues.
  • Manage escalations and provide solutions to technical issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and determine the relative risk to the product, system, and organization from cybersecurity threats, risk, vulnerabilities, and processes.
  • Assist in the transformation of control culture from current detective controls to preventative controls.
  • Work with the team to build security as a competitive differentiator for sales enablement.

What You Will Need:

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
  • Experience in ticket management, specifically with IAM, PAM, and Firewall requests
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) practices
  • Successful track record in managing escalations and working under pressure
  • Solid comprehension of networking fundamentals, including routing and firewalls
  • Holder of a valid Security+ certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships with peers and key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, ISO 27001 or COBIT or other applicable control frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with preference given to candidates with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and equivalent
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment and to fluently read, write and speak English

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information/Cyber Security, Information Risk, Information Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Management, or similar four-year technical degree.
  • Active CISSP, CISM or CISA certification
  • Experience in Insurance, Payments, Banking, or other Fin-Tech Industries

Compensation:

The US salary for this position generally ranges between $83,200 - $114,400 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
