Job Summary

The Benefits Specialist is accountable for efficiently managing employee benefits and leave processes within the organization. Responsibilities include overseeing the processing of employee leaves and benefits, ensuring compliance with local and state employment statutes. The role involves creating processes and optimizing back-office systems for streamlined data management, producing reports on personnel and benefits, and serving as the primary contact for employees regarding all steps of the leave of absence process and other benefits matters. The Benefits Specialist also plays a key role in crafting competitive and cost-effective benefits policies, contributing to a positive employee experience and overall organizational success in the realm of benefits and leave administration.

Expected Duties

  • The Benefits Specialist will process EE leaves
  • Expected to be the point of contact for EE questions
  • Responsible for audits of benefit enrollments and insurance billing
  • Assist with open enrollment and new hire enrollment tasks
  • Create and distribute communication pieces on benefits programs
  • Expected to administer the day-to-day activities of the organization's benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, life insurance, disability)
  • Performs other projects/duties as assigned

Salary range of $53,300 - $75,200. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
