Position Description

You will be a key member of the PMO team on a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic SAFe project. You will be responsible for providing the overall financial picture of the project while working closely with project leadership to inform decision-making and prepare critical financial reports.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, including trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
  • Work closely with project leads to forecast labor and tools. Provide actionable recommendations (including draft messaging to relevant members) to keep the forecast on track, or update the forecast as needed.
  • Maintain project charge codes.
  • Identify financial management trends for risk management to provide insight to the Program Manager to financially manage the project from a both a technical delivery and profitability perspective for CGI and the government client.
  • Ensure compliance with program financial management and task financials and deliverables.
  • Prepare a monthly financial forecast, to include actual costs and projected burn rates working closely with project managers to obtain inputs.
  • Create estimates for implementing new technical capabilities and cutovers, working closely with engineers and service delivery managers to obtain required inputs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with POCs (CGI corporate finance/subcontractor admin, partner POCs, government CO/COR).
  • Identify purchases, add to forecast, and follow the Request to Initiate Purchase (RIP) process for purchases.
  • Assist with monthly client invoices.
  • Manage funds and POs for subcontractors

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Ability to obtain a government background investigation
  • Knowledge and experience in identifying financial management trends for risk management to provide management insight
  • Experience in financial management and project control of Cost Plus Award Fee government contracts.
  • Experience in providing financial cost reporting with advice to senior-level leaders within the government and/or senior CGI leaders.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage, multi-task, and self-motivate.

OPTIONAL: Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required

  • Knowledge of Cognos and Deltek reporting.

The determining of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is between $55,600- $110,100
