This is an official Registered Apprenticeship Program. Upon completion, apprentices receive a nationally-recognized credential, certified by the U.S. Department of Labor. Google’s Apprenticeship program is approved for VA education benefits. If you’re a Veteran and have been accepted into this apprenticeship, you may be able to use your GI Bill benefit and get tax-free money for books and supplies, as well as a monthly housing allowance (MHA) from the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
This program is a structured learning and development opportunity. Apprentices participate in on-the-job training and related technical instruction, as well as career readiness workshops and opportunities to develop professional skills. Apprentices are paid hourly for their time studying and learning on-the-job, and are required to dedicate 40 hours each week to the program.
Apprenticeships begin with a three-week virtual onboarding experience, followed by an immersive 6-week bootcamp with Google's apprenticeship partner, Multiverse, to build a foundational understanding of the profession. Apprentices will then join a Google team to train on-the-job, while continuing to engage in track-specific learnings and career workshops throughout the program. Towards the end of the program, apprentices receive holistic career readiness support and will have the time and space to prepare for their next endeavor.
A typical week as an apprentice follows a hybrid structure, as they work towards completing all of the required competencies. Apprentices may dedicate 1–2 days to virtual lessons with Multiverse, such as spotlighting a particular concept or participating in a professional development workshop. They spend their remaining days gaining practical experience through different projects on their Google team. This ensures apprentices learn critical industry principles while also applying them to real-world projects. Apprentices are immersed into the culture at Google in various ways. They can attend local site and team-wide meetings and events, network with Googlers from all over the company, and build community through day-to-day interactions with their apprentice cohort.
The application window will be open from May 2–16, 2022. Please keep checking the Careers Page for updates, as apprenticeship qualifications for each track will be posted in advance.
The 2022 program commences on September 12, 2022. Apprenticeship tracks are either 12 or 20 months in duration, depending on the track.
We offer apprenticeships in several of our Google offices: Atlanta, Austin, Chicago and New York. Most tracks will follow a hybrid work week schedule, where most Googlers spend approximately three days in the office and two days wherever they work best. Some tracks will have a select number of remote offerings available.

In addition to the below, please be sure to review the general FAQs tab of this website before applying.
Q: How do I know if a particular track is available in one of the listed Google offices above? Can I apply to more than one? Once the application is active, please check the job description link to see which Google sites offer the apprenticeship track you are interested in.
We recommend applying to the apprenticeship tracks that align best with your background and interests, as your applications will be considered one at a time. As you’re browsing, keep in mind that you can apply for up to three roles every 30 days.
Will completing a Google Career Certificate before I apply or before the program starts increase my chances of getting hired for the apprenticeship? We strongly recommend that you do not complete the Google Career Certificate in advance. The Data Analytics, Information Technology, Project Management, and UX Design apprenticeship tracks include the Google Career Certificate as part of the program training. If you have completed a Certificate, please list this on your resume and let your recruiter know.
I do not have college experience. Can I still apply? Yes, you are welcome to apply. No college experience is necessary for our apprenticeships.
I already have a Bachelor's degree in the role that I am applying for. Should I apply? Since ideal apprenticeship candidates would have fewer than 12 months' experience in their field of interest, students currently enrolled in, or who have graduated from, a bachelor's degree program in the same field as the apprenticeship would not be eligible. However, you may apply if your field of study differs from the apprenticeship field you’re applying to, and if you have fewer than 12 months' practical experience in it.
If you're enrolled in or have graduated from an associate's degree program, you're welcome to apply if you have fewer than 6 months' practical experience in that same field.
