Summary

This position will be the subject matter expert (SME) for the time and attendance system (Timekeeper) used by most employees at Ryder. As such, the position is the key link between the system, the employees that use it, either as approving supervisors or employees submitting time, the Human Resources Department (owner of the system), and Payroll Services, who processes the information on a timely basis.

Essential Functions

Provide expert assistance to employees calling with questions regarding the use of the Timekeeper System: navigation, balances regarding vacation, sick days, floater days, and paid time off

Perform periodic data audits to ensure employees are using the Timekeeper System correctly and policies, regulations and contracts are being abided by

Maintain a strong relationship with HR Employee Services - Compliance to keep abreast of Ryder policy changes, regulation changes and new labor contract rules that may affect the system

Continuously update training materials and distribute accordingly

Ensure that new users, or existing users in new employee categories, have access to the system and are trained in its use

Set-up System Proxy Access

Additional Responsibilities

Solve any problems the users may have relating to navigation and time-off balances

Ensure consistency in following up with users to resolving issues expediently and correctly

Elevate issues to the appropriate resource for quick and correct resolution if the problem is too complex to be resolved at his/her level

Collect as much diagnostic information as needed before elevating the issue

Run reports on a periodic basis that will point out issues with the system, missing information, wrong balances, etc.

Ensure that training materials are up to date, both from a system perspective and a compliance perspective

Develop knowledge repository for issue resolutions in support of employee Frequently Asked Question (FAQs)

Suggest enhancements on existing processes and workflow to improve day to day operations

Create new reports from the time and attendance system

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Associate's degree Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, General Business, Computer Systems, or similar discipline..

Experience

Two (2) years or more experience Two to three years of hands-on experience in Human Resources practices and policies.

One (1) year or more experience with time keeping systems is a plus.

experience as a SaaS (software as a service) administrator performing support in hosted production sites is a plus. preferred

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

Ability to work independently and as member of a team

Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with strong time management skills

Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

KNOWLEDGE

Must understand the role of Human Resources and how it influences the business and its employees in day-to-day activities.; advanced level.

Must know how to train and how to influence and persuade the system's day-to-day users; advanced level.

Knowledge and appreciation for the inter-relationship between the Timekeeper System and Payroll Services; intermediate level.

General knowledge of compliance rules and regulations (Ryder, federal, state, local) as they pertain to timekeeping for U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada; intermediate level.

Knowledge of SAP ; intermediate level; preferred.

Proven knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word and Access; advanced level.

LICENSES

TRAVEL

Applicants from California, Colorado, New York, New Jersey and Washington:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20 to $25 an hour.
