The Security Support Engineer is responsible for protecting the corporate systems of Orion, by carefully monitoring, benchmarking, reviewing and responding to alerts, logs, reports and anomalies.

In addition, this position ensures all activities performed adhere to ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) and protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of customer data by participating in annual information and network security training acceptance spot checks on an ad hoc basis guaranteeing constant improvement of Orion.

Essential Functions Of The Job

• Demonstrates foresight in recognizing potential or existing security issues, vulnerabilities, and threats and work with cross functional teams to implement remediation.
• Manages data discovery response.
• Manages SIEM Log analysis, alerts and response.
• Support and manage security applications.
• Contribute towards scripting and security tool development efforts.
• Configures Endpoint response tools.
• Implement Web Filtering Policy adjustments and client configurations.
• Participates in disaster recovery testing.
• Document technical work and research to support improvement.
• Willingness to attend conferences and travel as needed.
• Assists end users with IT issues, serving as a contact and resource for employees regarding IT issues, questions, and concerns.
• Improves processes with the use of technology.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills Needed To Perform The Job

• Technical skills and experience in Enterprise Security Responsibilities.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 Frameworks.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
• IT Security certifications preferred.
• Obtain Orion Industry Certification.

Experience Needed To Perform The Job

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT Security required.
