You are a Product Manager that takes the lead in projects and keeps everyone organized. In groups, you are more likely to do more than your fair share of the work to ensure it goes well. You are internally motivated to get to the bottom of things, get things done, and make it clear and simple for others. It’s easy for you to write a description of or sketch a diagram of your thinking.

Position Details

  • Type: Full time
  • Pay: Depends on experience
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Expectations:
  • Flexible schedule, normal business hours, Eastern time zone
  • Must be attend 3x/ wk meetings at 10am ET/ 7am PT
  • Benefits:

What you’ll do:

Note: our team is flexible and takes pride in accomplishing what others cannot. The following is the expected task list, while occasional tasks will fall outside of it.

Discover how to solve a problem by creating new products or services

  • Stay curious and relentless on your pursuit to solve problems
  • Talk with many stakeholders, customers, markets to understand their pains
  • Record, organize, and present findings
  • Create rapid prototypes to test and confirm your understanding
  • Final deliverable: users using a prototype of your best solution to the given problem

Research, design & test solutions to problems

  • Customer interviews to discover most painful problem
  • Diagramming out a process or workflow to find ways to simplify in
  • Brainstorm designs for software, apps, features, etc that solve the problem
  • Design your ideas in Figma and create working prototypes

Lead, manage, and hold a team accountable

  • Manage day-to-day tasks for a team of 1-3 people that will build your solutions
  • Project management (timelines, budgets, milestones)
  • Measure and report on results (# of users, customer insights, etc)

Design, develop, and deploy prototypes

  • Use low or no code tools like Bubble.io to rapidly create prototypes
  • Deploy, or launch software prototypes to test user interaction and get feedback

Skills you bring:

The main requirement is that you show up to consistently perform and improve your role. You will encounter unknowns and must be familiar with personally solving challenges. You should have relevant experience and confidence in your ability.

Ability to lead a small group with clear, critical thinking & communication

  • This is the most important skill. If you don't believe this is one of your core strengths, you likely won't be the right fit.
  • Ability to clarify themes and trends after listening to multiple perspectives
  • Able to communicate insights via writing, simple diagrams, and rough sketches

Curiosity and ability to unpack issues in order to find & solve the root causes

  • Sniff out a problem
  • Get curious about it
  • Go talk to people
  • Try it yourself
  • Propose a fix for it
  • Get feedback on your ideas

Project management or basic organizational habits

  • You will be accountable for your team’s results
  • You will lead projects from start to finish, sometimes multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable managing 1-4 teammates (flexibility to add/ remove teammates to hit your goals)

Tech

  • Able to use and quickly learn to new software tools
  • Able to use excel to create basic financial models, projections, dashboards, etc (or learn how to use them)

Soft Skills

  • Drive to work hard on worthwhile work
  • Positive, optimistic, growth mentality
  • Desire to produce and take personal pride in quality work
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills

Related Experience

  • Some experience in business and startups
  • Familiarity with accounting, HR and project management
