WHAT WE NEED

We are looking for passionate Release Engineers, experienced in building, packaging and CI/CD pipelining to join our Release team. The team focuses on building processes to automate productivity metrics gathering, continuous integration of all Hazelcast builds and automated deployment in the cloud. Enabling Hazelcast to move fast and meet the most demanding customer needs.

Day to day, you’ll be leveraging your solid engineering fundamentals with a focus on automation, bringing your passion for solving difficult problems to help realize the product vision.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a seamless developer experience for our vast open-source and enterprise community, ensuring Hazelcast is as user-friendly to get started with as well as to operate.

What You’ll Do

• Work on exciting open-source projects that push the boundaries of distributed computing
• Take full responsibility and ownership for automation of the release pipeline
• Pay attention to code quality and software craftsmanship
• Maintain, monitor and manage software releases delivered to our customers
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing CI/CD and test pipelines, reducing developer friction
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in build and release with a willingness to resolve problems quickly

What You Have

• Excellent knowledge of automation, scripting and SDLC/STLC processes
• Strong experience of building, packaging and CI/CD pipeline toolsets
• Knowledge of following are desirable:
• Java and/or Python knowledge
• CI/CD (Github Actions, Jenkins)
• Packaging (Docker, RPM)
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science, or related discipline). OR equivalent experience.
