The Associate Product Manager will report to the Director of Product Management in this fully remote role.

Associate Product Manager - What You’ll Do:

  • Work on our product team performing product owner duties for up to two scrum teams, breaking down product roadmap initiatives into right-sized epics and workable user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that teams have a shared understanding of what they need to build and why, as well as when, it is needed
  • Work cross-functionally with our product, engineering and internal operational teams to decide which problems we solve for our customers, and how we prioritize them
  • Collaborate with development, design and QA teams, as well as with customer-facing internal teams and external vendors, to ensure effective product development and timely feature releases
  • Review specification documents and translate these into user stories
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including, but not limited to, user guides, release notes and product requirement documents
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs, and communicate product updates and improvements
  • Participate in, and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement and prioritization, daily stand-ups, sprint and product increment planning, sprint review and retrospectives
  • Assist in shaping the product vision and strategy, aligning it with business objectives and market trends
  • Create and maintain strategically important googlesheets and customer-facing reports
  • Become an expert in PureCars products relevant to your domain and team(s)
  • Learn how to troubleshoot, test and validate assumptions using the tools and data available to you
  • Create test criteria and test cases as needed to assist QA

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Computer Science, Marketing, etc)
  • Organized, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Leadership ability, able to represent the business perspective to the scrum team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build alignment in a cross-functional team
  • Strong understanding of advertising technology and digital marketing, experience in these areas is highly desired
  • Experience working directly with product and engineering team members
  • Ability to break down complex ideas into product slices that can be built and prioritized separately
  • Deep familiarity with agile frameworks
  • Excel or google sheets experience: ability to create pivot tables, V-lookups, regex and imports.
  • Ability to write clear, concise and unambiguous user stories with testable acceptance criteria
  • Nice-To-Haves:
    • Google analytics and/or Google Tag Manager knowledge
    • Experience using Jira and Confluence
    • Automotive industry experience
